the whole "no bullshit" thing is a big plus to me. plus it's just a generally decent game with satisfying progression and scalable challenge. the bar is just set so low these days that anything sounding remotely like that, what was normal in the 90's-2000's, is a win

The degree of freedom the game gives you is also a good selling point. Being able to swap mods, upgrade every weapon you come across, and instantly reset your skill tree really helps you feel like you have ultimate control over your experience. It doesn't artificially inflate grind time or anything. It's just a game.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and even the story would be right at home in a 90's sci-fi action movie binge with Robocop, Total Recall and Demolition Man which is a genre I very much enjoy.

This is honestly just a good and entertaining game. I've missed a proper co-op game for years, and this one hit the spot. I'm 35, juggling jobs and adult responsibilities, and online play time with my aging friends is limited. The game has great flow, it's fast paced, efficient and fun. All we need.

Outriders is refreshing with the hero powers being well thought out by the devs i applaud them for their work sure it has issues but so do most games.

Enjoying the game, the story is hit and miss depending on the player. The crafting mechanic also sets it apart in the genre.

For anyone who hasn't heard of this game, or is on the fence, here's a summary from someone who just wanted to try it:
Story: Simple, confusing, but has some good moments. Don't expect a stellar experience, but if you go in with an open mind you'll find it entertaining, at least.
Gameplay: Don't rely on cover, throw your abilities as much as you like, enemies can get bland after a while, but there's enough going on in the fights to keep you engaged.
Loot: Top notch. The grind is actually good (compared to a lot we have in other games), the weapons are interesting in design and function, and actually mean something in synergy with abilities.
Endgame: The developer has a whole video dedicated to how the endgame is structured. I personally haven't quite made it there yet, but my friends say they enjoyed it.
Overall: A breath of fresh air, though not an outstanding experience. Go into the game with an open mind, and you'll find it an enjoyable session. Go in with high or low expectations, and you will unfortunately be disappointed.

It's the kind of game that when you start playing it you'll be on it for a while. But if you're playing something else and can come up with an easy excuse to not bother you don't feel like you're missing out

The great thing about this game too was the demo, instead of the classic "open beta" we had an actual demo that let us try the game, played all the clases on the demo, liked it, bought the game, enjoying it.

For all of you who haven't heard of it, this game is really fun and highly addictive! It's online only but you can play solo. They got the diablo 2 loot feel but in a shooter.
