Carmichael, 50, was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2009 and called plays in 2011, 2012 and 2016. He was instrumental in designing and developing the Saints' prolific offense alongside Payton and quarterback Drew Brees -- whom he also coached early in Brees' career with the San Diego Chargers.

I’m hoping Winston is the starter. Keep MT, draft a solid deep threat receiver, Harris is a play maker, and of course Calloway. I love Taysom, he’s also a playmaker. But his Qb play reminds me of a solid college Qb. But I’ll always take him over Trevor Siemian. And down the stretch I saw improvement from Hill, especially the fact he was injured while playing. But he’s getting injured more and more and getting older. His whole college career was plagued by season ending leg injuries. I doubt he’s going to be okay with being the“Swissback” doing power runs and going across the middle. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets traded. He’s got enough tape, and has gone 7-2 as a starter, if a team is having QB issues I really feel they would reach out for him. Especially now that Sean’s gone, I don’t see much stopping the saints from cleaning some cap space if the opportunity approached.
