'Luce' is Dumb.

In 2024, the evangelization office of the Vatican created Luce, an animated doll as the mascot for the Catholic Church's 2025 jubilee year. A jubilee year relates to the Old testament, in which every 50 years the Israelites were instructed by God to celebrate a jubilee year in which it was a time for rest, debts were forgiven, and land was returned to its proper owners.

I am a Japanese Catholic, and I really appreciate the fact that our Church is using anime character for evangelization.
Most Japanese are not interested in Christianity at all, but Luce is actually a very good starting point to talk about Catholicism to those Japanese people.

If she is able to convert Japan, she'll do something the Catholic Church has been attempting for 500 years.

People I never thought would talk about the catholic faith, are talking about the catholic faith BECAUSE of Luce. She's gone viral and brought the church to people who otherwise wouldn't care. Getting your foot in the door is the first step. Luce is the foot in the door. Especially in Japan where it is sorely needed.

I don't disagree with a lot of your videos but this one just echos mindless internet opinions on Luce. It's literally just a mascot. It's nothing more than that. It's a mascot for the Jubilee. People would grow closer to God if they stopped hating on it and started planning for the Jubilee year and how they're going to change their lives to live more of God's Will.

Luce, of course is not the main focus of the Catholic Church, that's what people should understand, she's a mascot, for a much bigger event, which is the jubilee year.

If we go by the logic, then the priority for the canonization of Carlo Acutis is wrong because it doesn't directly solve the real presence thing and the mess of Catholics leaving the Church. Therefore canonizing him is dumb and there's bigger fish to fry rather than canonizing a random millennial.

Please let Luce breathe, the disgusting prn art made and hate from almost everyone for a kid mascot is actually alarming.
