I like the fact that even when his bat was destroyed he didnt even flinch and brought out the brass knuckles

“The only wrinkly monster who harasses MY family is ME!” One of the best quotes of the whole series.

When we first meet Stan, you'd be forgiven for assuming he'll be one of those typical comedic useless cartoon adults.
Then, of course, he turns out to be this very memorable, complex/original and undoubtedly badass character. And he STILL gets al the hilarious lines.

Stan's on my zombie survival team.

What a badass. His bat breaks, and when it does, he immediately pulls out his brass knuckles.

Notice how stan was already disheveled implying he fought his way through zombies to get to dipper and mabel?

The sheer rage at “ANYONE ELSE WANT A PIECE!” That brass knuckle hit like a 10 pound hammer.

If not for Stan, Dipper's last words would have been

"Mabel, I'm sorry"

Even though his father was probably emotionally abusive those boxing lessons paid off.

Gruncle Stan knows how to fight zombies better than everyone on the walking dead

I wish we could have seen that with both Stan's, one fighting with many physical weapons, and the other shooting with sci fi weaponry

Those boxing lessons sure came in handy.

This is honestly one of Stan's greatest moments. Sure, he uses the kids for his own personal gain sometimes, takes advantage of them, and is irresponsible in taking care of them, but this scene proves that he loves them unconditionally. Just in the episode before this he denied the existence of magic. Here, he throws all of that away just when the kids need him. He takes off the mask of supposed aloofness he'd been wearing since the kids arrived to save what he really cares about. This proves that he really is not what he seems, but much more than what he first appeared to be. From an ignorant great uncle to a protective and loving guardian. Great character development!

for a guy who have 10 Guns, he sure does like using Melee weapons more than Projectile weapons.

I'm pretty impressed with how much violence Disney has allowed to be shown in this show, especially the second season.  Episode 1 has zombie guts and heads getting squashed and bodies snapping in half, episode 2 has the insanely creepy shape-shifter stuff, with Dipper sinking an ax into the clone Wendy's stomach (I can't believe they let that one through).  In season one the candy monster was actually eating people.  It's about time Disney doesn't talk down to their audience.

Most protagonists who lose their baseball bat retreat after some hesitation. Stan? He fucking PUNCHES his way through.
