I don’t know about everyone else but I find a group of men, online trolls tricking and filming someone having sex without their knowledge and plastering it everywhere is far more evil and scary then any comic book villain

The glance back to the camera at the end made me cry. The realization that washed over her face, knowing that people now look at her as a monster, truly broke me. I have been in abusive situations where I feel like I’m being poked repeatedly, until I snap and show a normal amount of rage as a woman, but then told that I’m a monster. I felt that look in my bones.

The ending is basically She-hulk getting SWATed as well. The Intelligencia made sure they were there and that she was mad enough to Hulk out.

I had a lot less problem with her hooking up with Matt. After the last two guys (first fetish then then abusing trust) I was rooting for her to get a decent guy who likes HER. I actually yelled "get some" at that point. I wanted her to have fun with no qualifiers. That felt good.

I very much think that a woman would not need to stand by while a secret sex tape of her is being shown in front of her peers. Destroying the screen to prevent that seemed very reasonable and kind of the only thing immediate enough to stop further violation of her utmost privacy.

Jen being thirsty and sexually liberated is kind of a major part of the character. I don't think you could do a She-Hulk show without that and have it be true to the majority of the character's history in comics. And the Intelligencia using it against her feels very on point. She's dealt with slut shaming in the comics, as well, in a more general sense. She gets around, and there's a double standard around that. She once asked Iron Man (after sleeping with him) how he "gets away with it" (he was known to do the same thing, but not shamed for it). The truth is there's nothing to "get away with". There's nothing wrong with it and people are just sexist for judging.

She-Hulk's sexuality has long been a pretty big part of her character. She is unapologetically into sex, is explicitly female, and strong both literally and also for being true to herself and her intelligence and career skills. She's fully an admirable character and role model in my mind. Lol. Showing the sexy male superhero doing the walk of shame was perfection.

I was actually blow away at how pointed and deliberate feeling that sudden shift to end the episode was. Women are treated like that all the time in the US and they are crucified when they get offended and upset by that shit. They're 'overly emotional' and 'unstable' because they are humiliated and then have the gall to become angry about it. It offends me, as a guy, that people consider treating women that way to be in any way acceptable. So I really do hope that's the commentary this finale episode does go into, because that moment of realization as to the optics of the situation that crosses Jen's face was just heartbreakingly well acted. It feels to intentional to me to not be the focus on of the finale, but we'll have to wait and see. I hope they don't fuck it up.

Sadly Disney hasn't had a great track record of sticking the landings on these shows. Falcon and Winter Soldier's finale is less satisfying the more you look at it, Loki was good but clearly only meant to set up season 2. Wandavision and Hawkeye were awesome. So here's hoping!

The absolute whiplash I felt going from laughing at Matt's walk of shame to being absolutely horrified when Intelligenicia showed her sleeping with Josh was insane. I literally gasped when it happened. IDK how they're gonna resolve it in one episode, though it'd be nice if Jen lawyered up and sued them for revenge porn.

Also: good to know that the Sokovia Accords has been repealed. Between Spidey, Ms. Marvel, and Daredevil, hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more heroes with secret identities in the MCU.

The end was so sad, the Revenge porn in front of her family and colleagues is what finally made her lose control of her hulk rage

I was worried by the Disneyfication of DareDevil but I am really liking this laid back more fun version of Matt Murdock. I hope Jen pays him a visit in his show.

Jen and Matt were so cute together. Chemistry was great and I will forever love the image of a barefoot Daredevil doing the walk of shame.

I've really loved this show. I'm a huge fan of the comics, so it's nice to see an adaptation that actually gets She-Hulk.

Not to specifically defend the show’s version of man-hungry Jen but it is worth noting that comics She-Hulk is renowned for having a massive sex drive.

I'm not gonna lie that I would react exactly like Jen after the video exposing myself in front of my parents. Sl*t-shaming is so low blow!

Hearing the original Netflix Daredevil theme playing while they were talking after their fight was so nice. It's obviously a tease and they can always say it doesn't mean anything, but I'm absolutely taking it as a confirmation that this is 100% the same daredevil.

Great to see Daredevil back and the chemistry between him and Jen was as hot as hell. A very good episode and a cliffhanger that makes me wish I could watch the final episode of the series now!

I feel like I'd have shared your problem with Jen's characterisation a decade ago. But now that we've had Nat and Wanda and Gamora and Carol and Yelena and Kate and half the Eternals, I feel like the MCU has made it abundantly clear that to most female superheroes, their priorities aren't romance and sex and men. At that point, I find it kinda refreshing and really sweet that we can now follow someone for whom dating is just as important as anything else, if not more.

Growing up as a constant victim of bullying, the last scene hit me hard. I had a bully that targeted me for some reason. Maybe it was because I was the new kid; maybe it was because I didn't meet society's definitions of "traditional masculinity"; Maybe it was because I "smiled too much". He would harass me, chase me, throw things at me, and publicly humiliate me. I reported him to teachers and faculty, but was frequently ignored. My parents talked to the school administration, but they made excuses for him. Everyone would see him do these things, but just stood around and watched.

One day, I'd had enough. He'd been purposefully walking behind me constantly in art class so he could flick my ears as he walked past. I was doing my best to ignore it, because that's what they tell kids to do about bullies, except it never works. Finally, I stood up and yelled at him to stop it. He made like he was going to charge at me. I tried to push him away. At that point, I blacked out. It was during this blackout period that the art teacher, who had been in the hall at the time, reported hearing an almost inhuman scream of rage. When my memories picked up again, I was standing and he was on the floor. The pencil that I'd previously had in my hand was gone. Apparently, I'd somehow stabbed it into his back.

This was the days before they put police in schools so everything was handled internally. I was suspended for the maximum amount of time the school would allow before expulsion, and was told I was lucky I wasn't getting expelled. The other kid received no punishment for anything he'd done. The only good thing that happened was that he stopped bullying me. But then again, everyone stopped talking to me. I was socially isolated by everyone except my teacher for the rest of the school year. I moved to a different school the next year and was able to somewhat salvage my reputation, but I'd basically lost my ability to make new friends. I was still the target of bullies, but never that bad. Still, any time I tried to stand up for myself, I was the one who got punished.

That's what I saw in that scene. Jen was being publicly humiliated and everyone was just standing around and letting it happen. That's the worst thing about a bully. They will hurt you until you fight back, and then make themselves into the victim, and people who saw the whole thing play out will tell you that it's your fault for doing the things that make you a target. I liked smiling all the time. Now I have to consciously think about doing it or I look like I'm constantly angry.

I wish they had done something different. I wish they had done something fantastical, like that Red Hulk Jen suggested. This is just too relatable. It hits too close to home. It's the whole reason I'm afraid to put myself out there.
