'Chances' The Strokes covered by Capital Children's Choir

"Chances" is one of our favourite songs by The Strokes. We liked all the different parts in the song just as much as we did the main melody, so we wanted to try singing the whole thing a cappella. We replaced the guitar and synth parts with different vocal effects; for the percussion we used our feet and vocal sounds. Choral arrangement by Rachel Santesso; recorded at Abbey Road Studios with Andrew Dudman.

I've been a fan of the Strokes since I was 12 and this made me cry to see how my favourite band reach a new generation is moving I don't know why

I came across this cover the year it was posted when I was in my early teens. About once a year ever since, I’ve come back to watch it and it brings back memories and the feeling of being a kid again. I pray everyone in the video is still doing well. God bless.

This is why COMEDOWN MACHINE is the strokes most underrated album.
This is also why JULIAN CASABLANCAS is a lyrical genius(in the realms of cobain and lennon) . His ability to write a CONVERTIBLE song. Very rare that you have a song writer create a pop-rock song and have it read perfectly in a choir, country-folk.
The thing is he's been doing it for years.

Just saw them at Red Rocks and this was the song they walked out to. When they were all on stage Julian goes “well that was cool as hell, should we even start?”

I finally found it! I was there during The Strokes’ Singapore day 2 show and they played this cover as they were all coming up the stage. This brought me to tears. Wow.
