As a Michigander, buying a foreign car was comparable to a mortal sin. My Father owned a company that was a supplier to the Big 3 during the 60’s - 80’s and we watched the quality go downhill. In 2018, I purchased a 2011 Honda and I will never go back to the Big 3.

Hopefully the taxpayers won’t bail them out again. This is unacceptable.

Instead of suing GM, just don't buy GM. I haven't had a problem with GM ever...I've never owned one 🤣

I can't wait for the day when I read 'GM files for bankruptcy'. Any company that treats its customers and products like this deserves not to be in business.

GM stands for Giant Mistake. They were killing people with their defective ignition switches.

It's about time this company goes gave them a life line by bailing them out and what did they do....sell us back l low quality

The camshaft was made of subpar material!!! The metal is really soft. GM should have recalled their product back in 2007 instead of continually building the same product. GM deserves to be sued. Same goes for Ford and their spark plug problem. It is right to sell a subpar product for what they cost. Shame on GM and Ford both!!!

All you can do is not buy GM. Let them go under.

Retired G. M. autoworker. Shame on them. We used to make good serviceable cars. It downhill for them now. The "bean counter" accountants cheapened the products.

American car makers need to hire former Toyota/Honda engineers and executives. What they have in place is clueless on long term goals and quality.

My father, rest his soul, always bought Oldsmobiles. Each of them had their foibles. And yet, he drove them for years. Perhaps he thought GM would eventually “get it right.” And, do you know, GM never did. Same old nonsense with them. No wonder Japanese carmakers kicked their butts over these many years! Thank you, Scotty.

The U. S. Army had a prototype hybrid HMWV built. It had some excellent qualities but it simply had too small a payload because the battery was too heavy. It was a lead-acid battery, true, but it was also a hybrid vehicle with a small Diesel engine.

I think that fully-electric trucks will have the same fatal flaw: the weight even of lithium-based batteries will make carrying heavy loads or towing anything big or heavy impractical. But we’ll see…

Doesn't matter if they go bankrupt, Big Brother Government will bail them out for the 9th time and continue to allow GM to produce cars in the most inefficient and defective way possible.

Bail outs should be illegal.

Scotty, just wondering what your thoughts were on the 5.7 iforce motors in the Tundra.

It costs relatively little to pay off a judge compared to paying billions for their recklessness. Let's hope that this doesn't happen.

And the GM car owners will get NOTHING or very little, and the lawyers will make a fortune. Class action lawsuits benefit no one but lawyers. Electric trucks, meh.

It's your own fault if you buy a GM product. Crap.

A friend of mine leased a new GM truck last year. Within 5000 miles the lifters didn't work. The service that's not unusual

There’s a class action lawsuit pending here in Canada. It only involves the GMC Terrain and Chevy Equinox for knowingly installing bogus piston rings. I believe there was a class action lawsuit in the states and the owners won for the same problem. I don’t get it, it’s not just GM but a lot of car manufacturers also installed garbage piston rings. It’s starting to sound like oil consumption is a trim level option. That’s not a upgrade I need.
