Trisonic soldering iron; Worlds worst soldering iron?

Chances of this thing causing bodily harm; High. Don't trust cheap electronics or tools. ESPECIALLY ones that try to give self-help tips/fortune cookie sayings on the packaging.

I have one but the problem is poor heating and hard to melt the lead core wire. So I'm going to get the soldering iron station that's better cuz you can set the temperature to 700 degrees.

even in the low end realm, they went lower vs what it used to be. I have one of these cheap ones in the late 80s and it lasted more years that I could remember. no way the plastic piece would mets in my old one. just died from the heating element break. then I knew how it works when I put it to bits. certainly no ceramics used back then only brittle mica. the wire were cramped instead of twisted but no big deal for a very normal use actually.

UK Mine is not quite the same as this one but it only cost 99P. I replaced the lead with an earthed silicone one. I just bought it for fun really. My Weller was useless as they no longer made the tips for it. I bought another iron for £9.99 but that just packed up after a few months. I used the 99P job. It's now over 3 YEARS and the thing won't die. It's down from 40W to 30W - but it works. I have bought 2 more and moded them plus a couple of packets of tips for almost nothing.

Most cheap soldering iron like this is made in china. I have soldering with the same internal element. The problem on that is poor heating and hard to melt the lead wire.
