Southern Hamburger & Potato Casserole

This is a recipe for a Southern Hamburger and Potato Casserole that my Mother and Grandmother used to keep me and my sister well fed! It is very kid friendly, and adults like it too!  It is a truly southern creation and so quick and easy to make. Let me know what you think about our version and y'all enjoy.

Greg, I have made this casserole for years. I add onion and carrots to it and it definitely elevates the dish.

I guess SoCal is Southern. Mama made this every other Wednesday night. The other Wednesday night was meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

Greg, I started watching this the other day when you posted it and stopped it to go off on a tangent looking up the cream of bacon soup! I've never even heard of it. How have I missed this all my life?!! They don't carry it in my supermarket so I will keep searching. Amazon has it if you buy a case (which I may). In the meantime I will make some homemade from a "cream of soup base and add bacon to it. Either that or use a different soup and add bacon to the casserole. I bet the bacon flavor adds a lot to this dish. Thank you for this recipe and your website where I can print it out from! May I ask.... are you a professional chef, short order cook or something like that? You are really good in the kitchen!
