"i did not mean to do this" what he really means is "I didnt mean to get in trouble for this"

The ONLY thing he is sorry about is getting busted on video.

Save all of you time: he is NOT apologizing. He is claiming he didn’t realize where he touched her!

Watch the video. He did not mean to slap her on the back....seriously?!? An apology is not worth anything if you don't accept what you did.

This apology is too qualified to be accepted. He blamed course congestion and excitement, said he didn't mean to do it, and said he didn't know where he touched her. Watching the video of the incident, it's obvious that he stepped out, wound up with one arm, and had his eyes set on her butt to slap. Nice try, Callaway!

LIAR! "I did not mean to do this...." BS! As a man, it was clear that you did mean to do that. Own it, apologize for it and grow from it. BUT YOU'RE NOT OWNING IT!

Honestly, I'm disappointed with WSAV3 for even dignifying his absurd lies by giving him a platform. This guy must have some power to be able to even pull this off.

You can't lie about your intent and simultaneously give a a sincere apology. You meant to slap her butt, admit it. Anyone can see that on the video. Yes, there were several thousand runners on that bridge, running in that single lane (and really, good for you for mentioning that she was partially in the running lane, aka "she shouldn't have worn that dress). But guess what, if there were 5, 000 runners in that narrow lane, 4, 999 of them managed to NOT slap her butt. This was NOT unintentional. Maybe you didn't realize you'd get caught (despite seeing the camera), maybe you didn't realize how neanderthalic and misogynistic it was, but you definitely intended for your hand to meet her butt. Until that admission is made, there can be no genuine apology, nor any request for forgiveness. He is an active member of his church, he should know the proper order of

"I did not mean to do this." --- Yes, yes you did. And seriously, "asset"? This man is not sorry. Just sorry he got caught and is facing consequences.

Callaway: I'm not sure what size running shoe you wear, but considering that you did this with a news camera rolling, the number is apparently higher than your IQ.

Wow. He didn't know he did something wrong until his friends texted him. What a good husband, father, youth minister and scout leader!!!!

He would have denied if there was no camera coverage.

I did not mean to do this? If you're going to assault someone in blind daylight, don't go and say you didn't mean to and count that as an apology. Jesus, that makes the entire apology worthless. Own up to it or don't, there is no in-between.

"I did not know where I touched her." I watched the video of the incident over and over, even in slow motion. He pursed his lips, eyed her bottom, and gave her a right smack. The apology doesn't count if you don't own the mistake. "I didn't know anything about what happened until two or three hours later..." Great guy.

Wtf!! Is he for real?!

Not a SINGLE person touched the reporter but he did.

Prince Andrew: I do not recall the girl in the photo that I have my arm around.
Tommy Callaway: I did not realize my hand was moving in the direction of touching her buttock area.
