I used only 40 mods to transform Skyrim into a nex gen looking game. You've seen load orders with thousands of mods. So let's challenge ourselves and transform as much of Skyrim as we can with 40 mods or less!

Did I miss any mods that would help completely transform Skyrim? If you were limited to 40 mods, what are some mods you'd choose?

Wish they had a "Modlist" feature on Nexus, using the "Tracking" feature right now, but something targeting a modlist feature would be nice.

Thanks! My latest modlist is going to use Skyland AIO among others you've suggested. There are cases in which I prefer other options from mods you've suggested, but appreciate the ALL the info you put you out!

Update you showed me how to really optimize my load order I learned reading the entire mod description helps was able to get 8 aio bundles that did what about 45 mods did lol. I finally did away with xp 32 and went with realistic force AIO Veroveli and a few others much smoother

Nailed it compadre ... Been using your Skyland series since 2019 and had approximately 150 quality mods, it was beautiful and stable, even using Open Cities (until AE 🤬). I'm now coming back to it and rebuilding the game ... sometimes less is more ... I can live with that. Skyland literally is essential for console, minimal size good quality sure some few things aren't 100% as lore accurate as the could be but my goodness 1GB for all this and 90% of it is golden, good work, may I suggest (For console) using enhanced landscape, tree diversity (Forget the full name basically happy little trees) and enhances short grass for a bit more realistic look (Look up "Woods/forest" in Google will change your life these mods also suggest RTD weathers, I would mod Skyrim on PC but shit doesn't mix with AMD I swear I got a RX 6750 XT and shit still says NOOOO.

I like to use Rustic weathers and lighting and it's optional preset mod. I don't like using an enb, probably due to not finding the right preset. The optional preset mod that comes with rustic weathers and lighting gives seven or eight different lighting presets that work very well in place of an enb. The actual weather can be pretty intense too. In heavy rain or snow, you can't see where you're going and may need to wait till the storm is over before venturing outside.

Your mod selection looks great but on console some mods you listed may not be available. I do agree with skyland aio, but I’d take it a step further by using cities of the north, northern farmhouses, great cities, and northern roads. I also like to run jks interiors aio and either divergence clothing or variations clothing only. I have also swapped out your tree mods for others to test them out and I liked divine trees and Blubbos aio. As for the weapons and armor I’ve used divergence as it covers most of the armor in base game and dlc, however to replace the armor I’ve tried a couple of mods for a realistic deal. One of which was simply realistic armors. The other one was a bit broken as it removed the heads of the guards when wearing the guards helmet. And textures were also broken for some armors but it had great potential.

Awesome! Currently trying to get my friend to download mods for his playthrough but he's one of those vanilla skyrim types. This is condensed enough to where he might give it a shot
