Been listening in and out, and so I'm not sure if he mentioned it or not. Anyhow, I thought it'd be good to point out that the Greek of Matthew 16:19 goes this way: "...whatever thing [that] you would bind on earth WILL HAVE BEEN BOUND in heaven, and whatever thing [that] you would loose on earth WILL HAVE BEEN LOOSED in heaven." It's hard to understand in English, so it doesn't bother me that it doesn't show up like this in the English versions. Basically it means that heaven does the binding and loosing first, not Peter (nor, by extension, the pope).

Why do churches gather? To keep the social entrainment going. You know that video of the woman who enters a room where everyone stands up periodically--that's your brain entraining. If you're not at church, you might break training and have to think for yourself a minute and they can't have that.

I like your point but I think what Justin Peter’s said about this text is the correct interpretation of where 2 or 3 are gathered.
He says that it implies the authority in the discipline being carried out by the church, as Christ is there. It fits the context better.

What about the sick and disabled who cannot leave their homes? There are no church "Outreach" programs. . . To come and Minister and be with the Bothers and Sisters IN *YESHUA* and *HIS RUACH HAKODESH* who are homebound? Does your church have an Outreach Ministry? Do you have people that go and visit the sick-And the disabled who can't get to *Ekklesia* meeting places?
