India Dealing With Massive COVID-19 Surge

Major travel restrictions begin Tuesday coming from India; one of the new rules includes no traveling from India into the United States unless you’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Doctors in India are in a dire situation and are overwhelmed as the COVID-19 death toll is rising. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai talks to a family member in Mumbai who has seen the effects of the pandemic first hand.

People knew this was coming. I always questioned why India wasn't hit early on in the pandemic with the amount of people they have. It seems impracticable to not have some kind of analytic data on a country with the largest populous and not have an outbreak. It's terrible that we have to die because of this virus but we should support each other. Difficult to do in some cases, but we are all part of this world and should do the most we can do for one another.

Honestly I’m kind of shocked it’s not worse than it is right now considering so many people being close together and the lack of medical supplies... In India it’s hard and expensive to get proper medical care in the first place.

CNN just said India has a lower infection rate than the USA? They said this after a story of bodies burning in the street, and the last line spoke was that the USA still has a higher infection rate than India. I believe NBC also eluded to that also on many stories when Trump was concerned, could it be that the USA test more and track better? I mean if you never test you would never know the infection rate, we have test sites everywhere and its free. But this is just some simple analysis on my part, I would be happy to work for NBC, and CNN and intrepid simple truths, cause that last line does not make sense. Its amazing that our media lacks the intelligence to see that. Maybe they should just report the News and keep it simple. Many may say why you're bring this up, you must be a conservative, why yes I am. But I feel these lies or inability to analyze simple data hurts people. India is in a real mess and needs help, eluding that we are worse somehow, may make countries overlook their needs. People die because of our media

The aggressive way they decided from the start to do these covid tests are disturbing & highly suspect to me. Who came to such insane conclusions that you can't just swab the inside of their cheeks as they do for DNA? There's no excuse for that "nostril" BS. You can just do the throat & get everything you need.

A semi truck got stuck under a low underpass and all these men from the company and the state transportation authority tried everything but could not get it out without further damage to the overpass or the very expensive load being hauled. So they called in the big guns from various states to come in and get it out.
24 hrs later to no avail the truck was still stuck. They tried pulling this way, that way etc but nothing was working. Around noon on the second day of the ordeal as the road was closed off and 67 college educated men stood and scratched their heads a little 12 year old boy walked up and said
" yeah I live right up the hill and seen this on the news. I prayed and ask GOD to help y'all and so here I am. "
The men started laughing and one of the main guys in control told the little fellah " beat it kid we don't need help from a brat or your skydaddy".
"He smiled and said ok Mr. stay stuck then."
As the little guy started to walk away the man said: hey kid wait a minute. Tell us what your GOD told you to do and then chuckled.
The little boy said well HE said to tell yall to put down mens books and pick up HIS its called the BIBLE and you might learn something . Because all that worldly knowledge has made yall forget what HE gave you.
The man got angry and said what is it that we don't have boy? We have trucks, equipment,  degrees and real jobs.
The little boy smiled and replied well GOD said for me to tell you to use what HE gave you called "common sense" cuz all you gotta do is let the air outta all the tires and that'll drop it down 12 inches. 😳
15 minutes later the truck under its own power with flat tires pulled out from under the bridge. The little boy looked at the men and smiled and said "ain't GOD good " and walked away.

Mind you, the temperature is in triple digits:(. It is so hot, and soon the weather will get worse when the humidity sets in:( Oh, god, my heart aches. Much respect to all who are true heroes, working at such an extent.

People should be banned from eating wildlife that should have never been on the menu to begin with. Deadlier virus will be next if people don't fix their eating habits. It all started cos some group of people feel the need to eat every other earthlings. Sheesh...Of course, the media won't say it, but India sure didn't eat bats and rats. Sigh...
