I know this is 2 years old but just came across this this AM. Absolutely LOVE the setup and idea. I have been wanting to do something very similar in my shop too and I am slowly researching the available wood boilers - so far CB being a solid choice. Once installed for the house, i will be adding to the shop like this too! Nice job on the plenum too 👍

That was a well thought out plan to sense traffic and bump up the garage environment especially for dad`s bad to love the workmanship too.

Really like this heat exchanger! Want to heat my garage from an outside rocket stove. Thanks for posting.

Probably the best design I have seen on YouTube. Love how you are making it a hot water heater as well. Very cool.

I love this kind of stuff. It may not be pretty but it works. I have a friend that runs the water to his roof collectors when it's sunny.

Slick high/low setup. 👍 wood boiler guys always thinking outside of the box.Better than messing with the t-stat.

I think I'm going to use a separate (maybe red) light switch instead of a relay.

Good job. I just bought one and needed to know how to set it up for a workshop. Very nice.

Everything works fine chief. Garage is actually below boiler level, so it worked out great.

How did you make the 20 second blower delay? What relay and how was it programmed? Thx

If you dont use the heat, what happens with the water in the stove?

Only thing about motion-sensor lights is their tendency to shut off if they don't sense you moving for too long a time. We had those put in all the classrooms at my school, and when I'd use a room to make videos, the lights would go out after a half hour, right in the middle of recording. I'd have to stop and do some jumping jacks or something and wait for the damn lights to come on.

They did it to save money, because teachers are too stupid to turn off the lights when they leave the classroom. Really pissed me off. Turn 'em on when you come in. Turn 'em off when you leave. Oh, there was also an issue getting them to come on the first time in the morning. So they made the place foolproof, which made it fit only for fools. I can see tying the heat into the lights, but not allowing any humans on the premises that are incapable of turning the lights on and off.
