5 Things That Made Me QUIT Dragon Ball...

There were times in #DragonBall that, one way or another, almost made me give up on the show. Whether they were things that happened in the show, or the wider fandom around it, I seriously thought about walking away from it all, even after #TeamFourStar was a thing! Masako, Dragonball Z Abridged was the whole reason how I got back in to the franchise years ago! And after watching your content, I was officially hooked in to see more of these types of videos till this very day...! Nothing really made me want to quit Dragon Ball but for some reason after I was nine or ten years old I lost 'interest?' in the material. I bought a few of the games as they came out but I really didn't care about the material like I used to. Then when I was in seventh or eighth grade my best bud pulled out his phone and showed me Episode 9 of DBZA and that is what kept me hooked in. Now as a soon to be senior in college I can't think of not having some form of Dragon Ball media within arms length.


So, I guess this is kind of a thank you as well because you guys over at TFS (as well as my best friend) are the reason I got back into Dragon Ball, and into the deeper non-action/non-surface parts as well.

I think the only thing that tempted me to leave the fandom was anytime a fellow fan I meet turned a conversation towards "power levels" or "Multipliers" .

I quit dragon ball after super ended. Too many inconsistencies and bad writing can't be justified by some brilliant moments here and there. I wasn't mad though, I had fun and the original series is still there.
But then Broly came out, and oh boy was that good. Back on it since then.

Dragonball isn't going anywhere, or Godzilla. The two franchises I'll never "quit". As for James Marsters yeah Evolution sucked but at least he was able to properly make amends. Revere him! Praise him!

about yamcha: me and the few friends I have that actually like DB always say that you can lovingly meme the guy, but don't you dare ever say anything genuinely bad about him. yamcha is the heart of the show, damnit!

The biggest thing was the GT hate. I loved GT because Super Saiyan 4 was real and not a rumor and I got so excited. But whenever i told ANYONE i loved the show, i got taken off forums, removed from groups, or just laughed at in public. It put a horrible taste in my mouth and I quit for a few years until Xenoverse came out and I was all for it. Love the video man ^^

Super Saiyan God, Beerus, and Frieza coming back made jump off, but what really made want to quit was the Buu saga and characters being rebooted again to tell the same story.

Loved Dragon Ball Super Broly but the series is looking more and more like an advertising project as time goes on.

I would still call Jelly Vegeta filler.
While people tend to put filler strictly as "Stuff not covered by the manga", I would disagree.
Manga can have filler as well. There's another term for it, Padding.
It's just a waste of time that can be cut out and nothing of value to the overall story would be lost.
