The way she stacks her background vocals is MASTERFUL. Just to think it’s just her singing in the studio gets me every time. She’s a master vocalist

I think Beyoncé used to sing like this during the Dangerously in Love era. This whispering, sexy vocals... later on the B'Day era till The Gift she focused more on her "strong" vocals, that MEZZO

Classical vocalist here 👋 Beyonce's diction should also be noted. There is real clarity to the words she is singing...and she makes some interesting choices with pronunciation, but we can always understand her. ...unlike some other artists on the radio. 👀💅

Plastic Off the Sofa is the BEST SONG on this album as far as vocal technique, Virgo’s Groove too, since they’re basically one long song. God damn. Her vocals are soooo beautiful, I haven’t been able to get over it. This song reminds me of ‘I Can’t Help It’ by Michael Jackson, with elements of Minnie Ripperton, Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye and Al Green. Such a beautiful song.

We’ve become so accustomed to Bey giving us predominantly chest/mix heavy material that this headier/softer approach to her vocal production is refreshing like a cool summer breeze! We see you Bey! Love it 🥰!

As a daughter of a bass player, bass lines stand out to me and the line in this song is hitting and to hear her doing runs in line with the bass is very creative.

She's always had incredible diction but her articulation on this album is INSANE. Every word, every syllable is strong, resonant and vibrant. I'll be playing this album FOREVER

I HIGHLY recommend you to analyze Virgo’s Groove from this album RENAISSANCE . ITS EVEN BETTER THAN THIS, she’s running like crazy

Her voice sounds really-really pretty. This one is soothing and jazzy. ♥️🐝

Her performance on this is unlike anything she has done. She has SANG SANG on other albums - pretty much all of them - but this was straight up showing off. She also reminded me of the way Usher uses texture and phonation, like you mention on 12:57.

I always heard things in a song that nobody else could hear but after listening to you analyze the song I’m in awe.

Beyonce has one of the prettiest voice tones. Agile riffs.

This song 🔥🔥🔥 to think that people try to act like she can’t sing 😂. She silenced critics with this and Virgo’s Groove. Beyoncé is top tier in every category. A living legend

Syd and Patrick Paige of the internet killed the production and bass playing on this song..so proud of them

What I like is that I can hear her smile. Everytime I hear this song I just start i never thought it would grow on me the way it did but I can't stop listening to it. Like Love on Top.

I love it when she actually SINGS instead of rap/singing and she sang this and Virgo’s Groove. There’s a brightness in her voice throughout this album that I haven’t heard in a while.
