Hey Everyone! Thank you for being here today. I’m so happy you are here with me today to see what I created. If you are new to my channel, I’m so happy you have found me and I hope you enjoy what you see. It’s great to have you here. If you are a returning creative friend – thank you so much for your unending support; it really does mean a lot.
Today’s piece is inspired by: the colour brown! A lovely viewer asked me what they could do with van dyke brown so I have given an option here. I shy away from brown's so i hope today's piece inspires you to try out a colour palette you are not always comfortable with.
Technique used: Chaos Dutch Pour
What I learnt: Today's paints were a little thicker than the traditional dutch pour which meant, for me, no cell formation which was a nice change. Also try out a palette you are not always so sure of - it can create a beautiful palette you can then go back to for other techniques.
Colour palette: Arteza: pearl deep brown, pearl pastel green, pearl sage green, Amsterdam: van dyke brown, Daler Rowney: system 3 acrylic rich gold hue.
Time Stamps: If you want to go to a specific section of the video, here are the main segments:
00:10: a selection of colours for the palette
01:50: canvas size and base coat
02:44: laying out the base coat
03:45: layering the chaos part of the dutch pour
04:23: blowing out the creation
07:00 blowing out the air bubbles
07:20: wet version final look
07:50 dried version of the creation. Wow!!
Canvas: I use canvases from Loxley Arts: either the Gold or Ashgate brands.
Hair/Blow Dryer: I currently use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting unless I specify otherwise. This works for me due to the slim nozzle at the end. There are also other great alternatives and each artist has a dryer they find most comfortable with using.
Please like and subscribe to my channel and hit that bell if you are enjoying what you see. Its FREE for you to do and it really helps me grow as an artist and helps me reach more people that may like to see what I do. It also notifies you when I release a new video. Your support is invaluable so thank you so much in advance.
Other ways you can support me: people have been so kind and generous by just watching me and commenting on my videos. If you would like to make a small donation of support to me you can also do this (thank you in advance) by:
I’d absolutely love to hear from you so it would be great if you could provide me with some feedback so either drop them in the comments or reach out via my social media platforms listed below:

I’ll be back soon with some more creations. Until next time, take care, stay safe and have a great week.
