For a mixer tap you need the Hozelock Mixer Tap Connector (or similar) which clamps down onto it from the top as spout is too short on that tap for the clamp to grip.

buddy correct technique for this type of kitchen tap is - you remove the aerator and insert a coupler with same thread size, same as that of aerator into the tap this will give you more threads at bottom then connect this clip connector on that coupler (OR) beter you can connect a threaded type same adapter on the coupler . omg I can understand your frustration. buy a coupler of M22 I think

Little tip. Put a damp rag or towel over the tap when using, just in case you spring a leak and your kitchen gets flooded out.

You are using the wrong connector, hozelock has another one that you can screw inside the tap and no issues of coming off. The one you are using is for different shaped taps ;)
