Bruh id happily pay $70 for entry with the chance of winning 10k for 1st place, these kids are tripping if they think thats a bad deal. If anything that just means we dont have to worry about getting sacked by some guy using a random crap rogue deck that wont make it past round 3 in a big event.

Surprised you never mentioned Kazuki Takahashi the creator of the game. He is the reason why no cash prizes it's because of him he didn't want it and even though he died 2 years ago. I assume his wishes are still being abided by. This is why no cash prizes. I think they do miss a trick though prise cards can just be exclusive have a ycs ash blossom or regional effect veiler have them ultimate rare of have regional/ ycs packs for winners would be great but honestly the only way these will happen is if independent companies run them.

I get what people are saying about Takahashi not wanting there to be cash prizes, and i get and respect why he wanted it that way. However, things are much different now than what they were before. The price points of decks and cards, Konami shortprinting, releasing toxic cards that cant be beat by anything else, cost of travel, incrase price of registration, etc. Konami NEED to start giving players back something substantial for the time and money we put into the game.

Change will only come if you don't pay or play V. If you don't like how Konami handles events, simply don't go and advocate for those around you to do the same if you really believe in the changes you want to see. If not, your words are worth dirt.
