Hey guys! Welcome back! In this video, I'll be showing you how to fetch APIs using Python. I've made a similar tutorial like this one before in React, and if you've seen that video and understood it, this should be easy to follow along with!

If you don't know what an API is, an API is a web service that allows you to request data from a server. The API is a way for the server to provide data in a machine-readable format.

Is there a good way or standard practice way to format the api json data? It's hard to read all bunched up and it's difficult to know how to access the field you're interested in (e.g., whether it's a key-value in a dictionary in the 3rd element of a list etc).

when fetching an api and testing to see if the connection was successful or not, will "200" always be returned, or is that specific to this api?

04:00 you changed the gender to female from male in your api ... you should have just told that you forgot to refresh
