I don't think it's disrespectful to name pets after your loved ones. I think it's fantastic and perfectly normal....people name their newborns after past & present family members for the same reason....to honor and remember them. And your card is adorable!

I think it is a wonderful thing to name a pet after someone! It is not disrespectful at all - I can only see it being disrespectful if you call your pet a nickname that a loved one hated.
