@tohypa12345 Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to diameter, so they compare the length of the diameter to the circumference. Diameter x 3 would be able to fit in the circumference, with a little remainder. That remainder is how the scientists and mathematicians calculate out the decimal digits, which is calculated to be infinite numbers, no ending, no pattern.

@tohypa12345 Pi is always C / D (circumference of a circle divided by diameter). That means if you have a can and you (with a bendable measuring tape) can measure around the can, that is circumference, or the distance you have to walk around on a circle to get back to the same point where you started. If you measure a line straight through the top of the circle, that is diameter, and half of that distance is called radius.
