Today is the first day of Fabric Week whereby I will be discussing all things fabric related. This episode, I talked about 5 different types of technical fabric therefore if you are a fan of techwear this would be a great entry point to know a little more on the technical side of techwear instead of the aesthetic.

Correction: XPAC was not developed as a sailcloth, its a dedicated packcloth which took inspiration form sailcloth. (Thanks @sewmuchblack for correcting me!)

Nice video! A few bonus facts off the top of my head:
1. Dyneema is very hard to produce, and even harder to die.
2. XPAC was not developed as a sailcloth; its a dedicated packcloth whih took inspiration fom sailcloth.
3. Tyvek is a nonwoven, so you can tune its resistance to materals passing through t, right to your needs.
4. You can obviously use every fiber to have ripstop warp/weft threads in the material.
5. Hard to tell how AeroAdapt functions, but I suspect it uses a bicomponent fiber that reates tiny pores in the fabric as it gets moist.

I'm in the process of making a kimono for my school project, and I'm taking inspiration from techwear and darkwear. Which of these fabrics would you recommend? I'm probably going to need a fair amount as I'm cutting from a pattern, but I don't know the price of these fabrics either
