(old and garbage) Asmus Dante Sparda Review

This is my review of the Asmus Toys Dante Sparda from Devil May Cry 4. It's decent, just I really don't like the face.

I made this review right after getting out of the hospital, in other words before the figma Astolfo review. I did the script and audio recording in mostly one go plus since I sold the figure I didn't have very much footage, so it's not the best. I did learn a lot while making this one which is good. Ultimately, it's fine and I need more content on this channel regardless. The thumbnail is probably the best thing about this one.
If i have to be honest, this review is more of a rant if anything. I'm just really bothered that a figure that's otherwise really good is bogged down by just one miss-step in the details. Hopefully Asmus will make a 1/6th scale Dante that has a headsculpt I can agree with at some point.

the head sculpt isnt even what gets me. his hair has always been done dirty. its ugly and looks like there's not even effort.

looking at the face the first impression i get is that its meant to be a slightly younger version of his dmc 5 face. something i like alot tbh even if it looks less handsome than the 4 face

being objectively speaking when it comes to the fig review. I like the ranting segment bcos you give voice to what we're supposed say about the figure and the company who made it. Keep it up brother. You have a long way to go. You have my subscription already 😉👌

Asmus Collectible did a good job on Lady's head sculpt but their figure and parts quality needs work. The base bodies are not great compare to other brands.

I was pretty disappointed when I got this figure back in the day. I just picked up the figuarts one and mans is a breath of fresh air compared to this one. Articulation works, for the size the sculpt it great, plenty of very useable accessories. The only thing better about this one is I guess the size so you’ll notice it sooner and the magnet on the back. I also got the luxury version and it was a huge waste. The damn pieces don’t magnetize or fit well. They just sit there loose. Then they expect you to pose him on this wobbly mess. Mine has been in the box for awhile now. Maybe I’ll try a tbleague body swap and that will give it much better feel.

I love their dmc5 dante a lot, just the thing that disappoints me the most is the flat looking hair, it's kinda jarring to me since it looks so unrealistic compared to the face sculpt

Funny enough his face sculpt sucks if you compare it to the dmc4 look, but if you compare it to the dmc 5 look, it's honestly pretty accurate and good looking

It may sound weird but if u want to see the articulations on the figures taking off the clothes to get the full looks is an option or at lest the shirt and jacket to test the movement and not break it by accident

Is this a bootleg Fig? because the box has spelling mistakes which is a warning sign you may have an inferior counterfeit product. There's a lot of counterfeiting figs I've heard going around which make it look like the original but you can spot the dodgy work on the fig and the bad boxing. Ha Dio's vampire stone mask recognize that mask anywhere as having read a bit of JoJo's bizarre adventure.
