Recently, Puma launched their new uniforms of the Bahamian CARIFTA 2013 team at the British Colonial Hilton. Speakers included, BOA President, Wellington Miller, Mr. Mike Sands, President of the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) and Pauline Davis, Olympian. Each of the speakers were delighted and overwhelmed at the beauty of the new uniforms. Pauline Davis hinted at her envy upon the present day athlete's new gear, particularly the "Bahamian Spikes" and added that "The Bahamas has truly arrived."

Bahamas Athletics was also able to interview Lavern Eve, Greg Cash, Coach Henry Rolle and Coach Anthony Williams of Moore's Island. In the interview, Rolle expresses why the Puma brand was chosen to create the Bahamian CARIFTA 2013 teams' uniform and speaks about the current condition of one of his athletes, Anthonique Strachan, the 'poster girl' of The Bahamas and Puma. Among many things, Lavern Eve, remarkable Javelin thrower, hinted at her predictions for the CARIFTA 2013 Javelin events. Greg Cash, the head coach of the CARIFTA games, offered his insight on the honour of being able to showcase the junior talent within the Caribbean.
