12 Union Canal Breach

In August ‘20 the Union Canal experienced a substantial breach. The extent of the damage resulted in 75,000m3 of water breaching the embankment, causing damage to the Edinburgh-Glasgow railway line. The repair was followed by a programme of works on the Canal which will protect this historic scheduled monument for future generations.
