Seraphim: God's Most Powerful Angels

Hey everyone, welcome to Mythology Explained. In today’s video, we’re going to discuss Seraphim, the angels closest to God’s throne and the highest order of angels in the celestial hierarchy. Because of this, Seraphim can be viewed as the most powerful order of angels - the most powerful demons sometimes said to have been Seraphim before they fell from grace and became malevolent entities. However, it is important to note that certain named archangels, especially Michael, are often considered the most powerful angels. Michael, for example, is seen as a warrior and protector, and in the Bible, he is depicted as leading the heavenly host in the battle against Satan and the forces of evil. One reason that explains this is that the word ‘archangel’ has multiple meanings. In angelology, it usually refers to the second lowest angelic order. However, in the bible, the word ‘archangel’ has a more general meaning that simply denotes superior angelic beings.

The word Seraphim is derived from the Hebrew word "saraph," which means "to burn," and reflects their intense, fiery nature, usually associated with their burning love for God. They are mentioned explicitly in the Bible only in the Book of Isaiah, where they appear in a vision experienced by the prophet Isaiah. In this vision, the Seraphim are described as having six wings: two covering their faces, two covering their feet, and two for flying.

Seraphim are considered the highest order of angels in the Christian angelic hierarchy, this based on the classification system developed by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite in his work "The Celestial Hierarchy." Thomas Aquinas, in his "Summa Theologica," further developed the understanding of Seraphim, emphasizing their unmatched love for God and their superior knowledge of divine truths. As part of the first triad in the angelic hierarchy (along with Cherubim and Thrones), Seraphim serve as intermediaries between God and the lower orders of angels, transmitting divine wisdom throughout the cosmos.

The problem is that most people think an Archangel is a "type" of angel when in truth it just a title giving to angels of any of the castes that carry out a very specific job, any angel that deals with the mortal real is an Archangel, they can be of any of the caste or species of angels, take Michael for example he is a Seraphim that also happens to be an Archangel, so are Rafael and Gabriel, they are both Seraphim, and it only get weirder the further you study it, like powers and Cherubim's, some powers are Cherubim some are not, but they all have elemental mastery, and most of them are made of a specific element, also by definition the word demon is a cheater, devil means liar, and satan means enemy or opositor, now a days it means something else, in modern times it use to refer to the fallen angels. Like all good myths people have twisted the stories to the point you can't no longer trust what it says in modern times, and finding the original materials outside of the Vatican is hard, most of it has been redacted or modify beyond any hope of knowing what it actually said, and what little of the original manuscripts and scrolls that are left outside are guarded and reserve for member of the organizations that have them.

Taught this at Church last Sunday. They are in Revelation 4 also. They have four wings in Ezekiel 1&10 but are referred to as Cherubs so perhaps different beings.

Seraphim is an order of Angels which is the highest level. There’s 3 orders of Angels with 3 levels in each. Which is 9 levels

I believe I was rescued by a seraphim from a car accident I could have been in. I describe it as a seraphim because of the uniqueness and the supernatural power involved. I described it as a ‘tornado of angels’ and I was in the eye of this angelic tornado. And protected by it. I was whirled up in a spiritual wind and i could feel massive feathery wings surround me, pick me up, and pt transport me 3-4 feet away from where the car suddenly haulted at the stop light . The seraphim angel performed this rescue with so much power it left me in shock. I couldn’t believe this supernatural encounter, it blew my mind. The feeling of powerful wings and the supernatural powers to rescue me are unforgettable to me. Encountering this angel also felt like I touched another dimension, there is no words to describe it, except like that. I was close to an extremely powerful angelic being and rescued by this being. I’m blessed and glad i am safe. What happened is also very different than other Angelic encounters ive had. This one was extremely profound and I believe it was a seraphim.

My father has told me a story when I was in early teen he heard Angels sing outside of my door while I was asleep, I have always been a spiritual person even as a child, but never been religious, as my father is. I still do not know the meaning of this occurrence. But hope to find the answer some day

Ya know, when i was dying from a auto accident, and the lights blurred into a streak then faded to black.... I was not It was a enveloping darkness, did not see anything, only a voice. It asked "do you want to live or do you want to die?" . Confused at the question, and ware i was i awnsered "l, live?" no more was said. To this day i believe that was Gabriel, the messenger.

I believe I was visited by one of these angelic beings many years ago. I will never forget the most vivid dream of being in the room I was sleeping looking across the room at where I was sleeping but I was not there. There was a being floating above where I was. In the dream I was in awe and somehow knew who this being was but not when I woke . The being was covered from head to toe in the most soft gossamer hair . It could have been wings but I could see no face but the most intense pair of eyes staring into my soul. I wasn’t afraid but reached to touch this beings wing or hand or arm and could feel the most soft fur and said how very excited I was to meet them as if I knew who they were. I had no idea when I woke up who this was but thought it might be angel. Only now 30 years later did I realize that the description of a seraphim is very close to who I saw. For many years after i continued to have several more vivid dreams about being taken up to God in a storm from my home and I saw his face in a cloud and then another dream where Jesus met me in the garden below my hill under some cedar trees. First I had the angel dream, then the God dream and then the Jesus dream. The last two dreams occurred in the past 20 years. But just recently I had another dream after very few and I dreamt I heard the loudest sound outside everywhere and it was like no sound I’ve ever heard. I woke and thought it was the horn of Gabriel that was just blown harkening the beginning of something. That was last year. Now the people elected an antichrist for president and I fear my dreams were all a sign of things to come. Right before the pandemic I also had a vivid dream of a barren wasteland by the continental divide out west and I saw a horseman that might be seen as a horseman of the apocalypse. Every time I have these dreams I believe they are a sign. I’m not a person with a religious upbringing either but have gone to church in my life but no longer. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
