Milos, Greece: Plathiena and Firopotamus beaches

If you are staying in Plaka or Adamas on the Island of Milos then these 2 beaches are somewhat within walking distance. We held off on renting a car but after this hike realized for Milos you need a car, ATV or scooter. Plathiena is really a lovely beach. Not real busy, nice sand and easy entry. Firopotamus is an old Fishing Village . The actual beach is a bit small with most of it taken by the Restaurants. I found it to be a bit crowded and we were here in June before high season. Paradise that's been discovered is not paradise. Eventually you will need a car. Taxis can be expensive. We rented from Katris Cars for 40.00 euros/day

Did Plathenia Beach have a beach bar next to it? If so is it worth stopping by and having drinks there ? Thanks
