Crushed my foot, broke left clavicle in 8 pieces, bent right femur nail (lost a piece of bone the size of a quarter) and lost my left eye in tragic accident. Still have my track bike....but will never race or do track days again!!!
Still, I love watching Isle Of Man. Because of vision issues, I follow with my ears. I wish I had access to a motor bike simulator so I could pretend to race. Definitely a dangerous when your heart loves it so much, even if you don't have the physical body to do it, you still have the need to use your mind and feel the efforts that everyone else enjoys. My heart wants to go fast, just my body can't afford another injury!! Lord please forgive me for loving this sport so much and thank you!!!!
I'm still alive and able to enjoy others making two wheel magic for even people like me to have that heart race and adrenaline 😢

Only watched TT once for 30 seconds on bray hill and nearly had a heart attack.. never went to see i again in the 17 years i lived there.

I remember watching Joey Dunlop on one of his record breaking races. At ginger hall, on the 1st lap, his head was inches from a stone wall. We were shocked at how near he was, and just amazed, when he repeated it each lap! 😮

That's beyond the limit for everyone apart from him. He was riding the ditches in a few places thos year. He judged it to perfection every time. That's the fastest way round that corner if you're brace enough and good enough. Truly remarkable
