Always one of the most exciting races around, the St Mary's Trophy presented by #Motul is an amazing fight for some of the greatest touring cars in history. This year, we moved back to the cars of the 1960s, so Minis, Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAs, Ford Galaxies and Plymouth Barracudas went head-to-head for glory. Drivers involved included Romain Dumas, Jake Hill, Andrew Jordan, Alex Brundle, Jean-Eric Vergne, Rob Huff, Christian Horner, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Neal and many more.

THIS is what racing should look like - forget the modern stuff :)

So glad the British still run these races and allow the public watch these valuable cars run like they are supposed to. In America the rich hoard their cars and most events are private or only rich can afford to attend.
The small vs large races are my favorites. Reminds me of my childhood my town ran vintages car races

The racing is always better with no aero and no fancy electronics - great old-school wheel-to-wheel battles all down the field!

That was not only some great racing, that was some of the best video I have ever witnessed.
Well done Goodwood!

Very impressed by the great balance between aggressive driving and cautious close quarter racing. Drivers demonstrating terrific skill.

I have to ask myself why I even bother watching F1 when there's stuff like this to be had.

Brilliant illustration of the advantages of power vs weight. The Plymouth pulls away on the straight, the mini and the Alfa catch up every where else. Neither is “better” but it leads to amazing racing.

Is there any kind of racing that's more pure FUN to watch than old big and small-bore cars mixing it up? I don't think so. You know every driver was having an absolute blast too.

That was one heck of a drive in that giant Galaxie! Super clean in that Barracuda as well.

Love to see the Alfa victory! I'm negotiating on a 1971 GTV 1750, complete and straight but very rusty. Beautiful cars.

You have to just love how the great handling little 1.6L Alfa Romeo GT Giulia can beat the muscle of big V8 yank cars. Top driving by Frank Stipler 👍

I am a 60 years old race enthusiast, I have watched all types of racing since many years, nowadays Goodwood classic races are the ones I enjoy the most. Many thanks to who ever is responsible in organising this great event.

The touring car race at GW kills F1 dead in the water. Way more exciting, just way more of everything.

One of the few races in this modern world that makes me giggle and laugh. It's out of time. Right out of my childhood when Impalas, Galaxies, Fairlanes, and Sport Furies ruled the road.
PS From what twilight zone have these Goodwood Barrcudas materialized? Nice.

I so enjoyed Mr. Dumas' truly epic/spirited RUN. The MASS of that Ford over the 1/3rd size Minis showed the old adage..."no replacement for displacement"... but oh, yeah, the ALFA WON!😁

Awesome stuff... can't help cheering for that lil Alfa though, such an iconic immortal car.❤❤❤
