A paid day off for this I have no problem with. However, the day will be spent doing anything but acknowledging it by most people. Not out of malice but apathy. Just as Remembrance Day is taken seriously by far too few. It also seems odd that Gay Pride gets a month while Indigenous peoples, as do many other important ideas get only one day.

Not surprising for an NDP MPP. That Kiiwetinoong (this MPP's riding) became it's own riding in 2017 given it's _tiny_ population is _wild_ still, I'm all for an electoral college provincial level sys to keep the cities in check but this sure ain't it. This is like listening to an abusive mother in law _every time_ he's on air, Kiiwetinoong riding you aren't sending your best. The long slow march through the institutions indeed, the europeans would be so proud that he's putting this creed of theirs into action.
