That’s how all people need to act. Even if he’s mad he still kept a cool head. And notifying the police of the gun was the right call
Good job man👍

Your dog goes through extensive training to give a false alert.

Smart black dude not wanting to reach in his glovebox when he has a gun inside.

I had once a k-9 unit "alert" my family's car just to get to the food we had in there so I don't really believe in the accuracy of the dogs

Does it annoy anyone else that they just let the dog jump all over the car and scratch the paint?

Few months ago I was pulled over for a broken tag light. Started off routine, gave them license, registration, insurance no problem. Cop goes back to his car for a few min. Shortly after, 2 more cop cars pull up behind me with lights on. When he comes back to the window, he wants to pull me out and search the car for whatever reason. They had no probable cause, I was not impaired in any way, no smell of marijuana or alcohol, no drugs or weapons in the car, no warrants, not leaving a "known drug neighborhood", not acting suspicious as I was doing nothing wrong and had nothing to hide, just was simply driving to the gas station to get gas and head to a friends house. When I refused the search, they told me they had a K-9 unit here and ran the perimeter of my car. Cops told me the dog "alerted" them and they will be searching the car. The dog did not bark or give any indication whatsoever. They searched the car head to toe for about 20 min and found nothing. Sorry for the long story but my point is, I know first hand they will tell you the dog "alerted" them no matter what.

I just dont understand why the k9 search was necessary if his gun was legal

He wasnt upset at being pulled over. He was upset at being suspected of having drugs and being searched. If searching people's property wasnt a big deal it wouldn't be mentioned in the constitution. It was a big enough deal to rebel against an empire and found a country on.

That deputy had zero reason to conduct that dog run. The driver had zero signs of impairment, and even respectfully notified him that he was carrying a firearm. I normally never say someone was profiled, but this guy almost definitely was. Unless he literally runs the dog across every vehicle he pulls over, that was profiling.

How does a burnt out tail light require a drug sniffing dog? Yogis alerted to drugs and there were no drugs.
That's a problem.

Dog “alerts” yet nothing found seems like your tool is broken

Smart man. I love how the cops are advocating for their broken tool. Lol. Dog clearly false alerted.
