There are various value traps out there which on the first glance seems to be a bargain and the on the long rum they are not. Those are the true expensive stock in my opinion.

The questions I ask surrounding a company trading at a premium;

1. Do they have any viable competition
2. How consistent are the revenues & earnings
3. How would they perform in a recession
4. Is this a company you’d ever second guess or want to sell regardless, and is that widely shared by investors and the market

You’ll find there’s very few companies that fit that bill. Costco would be one of them. In tech they are very few and in between, which is why I try and find them at low valuations…..which are very few and far in between as well 😂
