Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk Review

As a DLC, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's The Indigo Disk is pretty great. The story's a bit weak, but all the activities surrounding it are a blast, including the challenging battles, the new Terarium zone, the BBQ system and its rewards, and all the new benefits of playing cooperatively with friends. It would be an excellent DLC if it wasn't shackled to a game that is still, over a year later, an ugly and broken technical mess.

As a long time Pokemon fan it's very sad to see that Gen 9, the first truly open world Pokemon game that should be celebrated for it's freedom of letting you catching Pokemon with ease is just going to forever be known as that generation where Gamefreak officially gave into greed and released a broken mess that they never bothered to fix.

The Pokémon company is large on greed and short on ambition. If they took the time to make a quality game worth the price tag they could probably bring out 10 dlcs and bank on it just as well.

The fact that a year later, we still have people trying desperately to defend the awful technical state by claiming it needs a Switch 2 to run better.
My guys, there are so many switch games that look and run 10x better on switch right now. This aint a hardware issue. it's a development issue.
Either incompetancy or a rushed product.
Go look at the quality of Zelda or Xenoblade for the proof.

This is one of the most fair reviews I’ve ever seen from IGN and you can tell the reviewer genuinely liked what they played. Any coverage of the disastrous state of Scarlet and Violet is what needs to happen if we don’t want a repeat of SV with the next Pokémon game.

Gamefreak has absolutely no UX design team based on all these bizarre ways they program the functionality the game. Its like they only make what we think we would like instead of asking is and listening directly.

For all the things you said at the end of the video, many games would've been cancelled or flopped for less than half of the points you made, yet this franchise still gets unanimous financial success.
