No matter how much we don't rate Antony, I don't understand how giving another team an arguably half decent player and paying some of his wages, when that would mean we have less players in our forward line. Especially considering we are still in many cup competitions. It just doesn't make sense considering we are one injury from Amad away to being in a crisis. Only way for it to make sense is if we get another winger in.

I think like many before gim Antony will go on to do really well in spain, look at the likes of Forlan amd Rossi, just lacked that bit of something for the premier league but had good careers elsewhere in Europe, particularly Forlan.

Hopefully a strong second half of the season for him will bring some serious interest and push up his value a bit, being an important first team player might also lead to him lowering wage demands somewhat
