Very common; most Atlantic beaches erode. Maryland and Delaware pump sand from offshore platforms back onto beaches that have deteriorated from storms etc.

I live just north in Fort Lauderdale. Just about every 8 to 10 years voters approve about $15 million for “beach restoration”. Takes damn near a year to dump it, sculpt it and keep moving. It makes a HUGE difference in just overall width of the beach and the plastic free white sand from the Bahamas. It probably increases the width by 50-100 feet.

it did not come from the bahamas. that cost would be astronomical. I just looked it up. up until 2014 the sand was pumped back onto the beach from right offshore. Sand that has been there forever. we didn't steal it from the Bahamas. After 2014 it has been coming from sand mines in central florida.

I moved to Miami Beach when I had just turned 24 Little too Short a couple months after I left Nashville and I went to work there in Miami and I left with two other girls she was missed Indianapolis and one was a Playboy bunny we stayed there for 2 years I loved Miami but I had my fun in the sun and it was time for me to go and do whatever I had to do to take care of me and that's what I did. I am now 77 years of age I had my day in the Sun and I looked back on it I have no regrets I took care of all my responsibilities I loved every minute of it but I knew when it was time to move on. Somehow I always knew him to move on and I don't know how it was just I think a gift God gave me and that I will never take for granted.

It’s actually not from the Bahamas, I just read an article on this and there is a federal law prohibiting states from importing sand from other countries. The sand is from central Florida and costed 16 million
