Do you think it would still work with a protective back cover that is meant to work Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro? Like SwitchEasy CoverBuddy, MOFT Snap or Pitaka MagEZ? Without the Magic Keyboard attached of course.
I can see this mounting rig useful to have the iPad Pro 12.9" in vertical orientation next to iMac 24".

I just ordered a similar magnetic mount for my desk. It’s going to save space. And it’s going to save me money from thinking about ordering the Studio display to pair my m1 Macbook pro. Just for the bigger screen and the ports to support my webcam and microphone and plug in my DAC. Not worth the $1, 600 for that display. This iPad has 120hz and Mini LED.

I wish that the iPad would support both wireless charging (Qi2 or Airfuel), and multi 10Gbits/s low latency 60Ghz WiGig (802.11ay) wireless docking for I/O (USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, …), and that the magnetic stand integrate wireless charging and wireless docking : it would make it so convenient to use !!!
