One of my favorite baseball channels on the come up. Keep up the great work!

That six minute rant by the fan is worth the watch, regardless of what team you cheer for. That dude is a hero. As a longtime sox fan, I blame the players. Like said in the video, the brass and GM had a loaded farm system. These guys are just playing like crap, or injured. They were lucky when Yermin Mercedes carried them for awhile.

Also, the radio station caller, Berto from the West Side, is now a sox legend

As a baseball fan for over 50 years and a White Sox fan, I have never seen so many young talented players REGRESS in their development. In 2022 the Sox were ofldds on favorite to won the American league Penant and had the second best odds at winning the World Series. Then they crashed faster than the Hindenberg

Man being a cubs fan living in Chicago, Tony Larussa was absolutely the worst thing the Sox could have done to themselves. I get injuries happen and that’s unfortunate, but Larussa single handedly killed all fun and chemistry the Sox had. I remember Yermin Mercedes having a crazy run when he got called up, he did 1 thing Larusa didn’t like( i think he hit a home run when they were up like 8) and Larussa sent him down and we haven’t heard of him since. My homies that are Sox fans absolutely hated Larusa

yeah, as a sox fan it actually hurts to see this team not live up to its potential. I honestly believe this franchise wont be good until its under new ownership. Jerry has owned the team for 40 years and got 1 WS. Rick Hahn has been there for 12 years and got 2 playoff, first round exits. Really sad that ill have to live with the memory of 2005 forever lol

Man honestly that loss in the 2021 ALDS to Houston broke this team just watching the body language. They weren’t mentally prepared tim Anderson was crying his eyes out and the team was absolutely dejected.

I have lived and died with this team for over 50 years. The last few have been the absolute hardest (with a long history of tough years). We never had potential like this, spent the money, made the moves and the result was a 500 year and this year is such a flaming bag of crap I can’t make myself watch. They will always be my team but dang they are killing us.

Abreu wasn’t called up, he was signed from Cuba.

Good video! Small critique only cuz I’m a White Sox fan while it may seem like 2013-2016 were rebuild years they were actually trying to win believe it or not, those were the years where they spent money on Melky Cabrera, David Robertson and traded for Todd Frazier. Kinda sad that that was their idea of going for it. And can’t forget about the infamous Tatis for Shields trade at the deadline in 16 that offseason was the start of the rebuild.

Hey, I feel you all the way over here in Detroit. We were excited to be on the up ourselves. Then there was that little spark of a rivalry between us at the end of 2021. We were excited for a little Chicago-Detroit rivalry action. Nope, turns out we both suck. What's even worse is that our division is so craptastic, there's only one good team, that's it! No one wants to challenge them. This division is ripe for the picking and nobody wants it. It's very aggravating.

That was unfortunately a perfect summation of what we’ve went through without any “out of town stupid” as we like to call it. You nailed it. We should be planning parade routes by now. That is not the case.

Injuries have plagued the team more than I would say is usual for a team. Whenever Moncada or Eloy are injured, it sets us back quite a bit. Whenever TA is injured, we're almost destined for defeat for a month. When Luis is injured, it's a gaping hole in the outfield. And these have all happened in 3 back-to-back years, meaning Leury Garcia became a regular member of the team. Sometimes it's multiple injuries at once, and they'll range from lymphoma (which we now know is gone), to an overextended finger muscle. It even ranges across pitchers, but they've mostly been knee injuries. The wildest thing about all this is that we had *just* gotten a new medical staff.

The closest 2nd baseman we've had remotely like Iguchi has been Elvis, and I hear day in and day out about how mediocre and over-the-hill a player he is. He's only been playing SS because TA had been injured. Burger has been filling in for Moncada and this year is really showing that.

The last couple of years, our entire outfield has been just about missing because Eloy hadn't been there, but was liable to be injured anyway when he was. With Benintendi, Robert, and Colas, we had something resembling outfield defense. And yet many of our games this year have had (checks notes) Gavin Sheets in right field, even with Colas *not* injured.

The pattern I have seen is that we have these awesome baseball players that people have asked for, but they keep getting injured and pulled out for real extensive periods of time. And then they come back to a team with absolutely NO morale. That's why we like Billy Hamilton, Elvis, and when he was with us, also Goodwin. When they're here, they help stop the vicious cycle. They can't do it on their own, but they're like jumper cables being attached to a Maserati with an engine problem.

But that doesn't stop the engine problem, and we gotta figure out what's really wrong with this engine.

Die hard sox fan, you pretty much summed up the past decade very well for us 💔

The Jays in the early 2000s were similar. One season they were really hyped up to be a cracked team with Doc, Delgado, Vernon Wells, etc… but they fell short and the franchise kept suffering for years until Bautista, Donaldson, and Eddy showed up.

Honestly, I think Tony La Russa did more damage than help. He was just too old to manage the game, and you could tell right away. The players didn't have the spark when playing with him, and firing Tony just showed how dysfunctional the team is compared to the Cubs.

From the southside became a baseball fan in 08. Favorite player Alexei Ramirez at the time. I literally developed a thrill of having good prospects since i only seen my team make the playoffs 1 time 🤦‍♂️

As a sox fan I'm still clearly upset over the '22 season. It was indeed a slap in the face to fans who believed in the hype. Letting Abreu walk out the door was one of the stupidest things the organization can do. Despite him aging, he was clearly one of the only few work horses doing his job and the guy was injured several times yet he still played through them and even excelled better then anyone in the roster. Additionally not rehiring James McCann and instead going after Grandal was a terrible plan of execution and what about filling the 2nd base role? That still hasn't been resolved since the rebuild! Better yet where is our starting left hand pitcher? So many questions and so little answers. Clearly going into the 2023 season I see it nothing but a band-aid of a year in progress and after seeing that recent losing streak happening this early in the season clearly shows how bad this team will faulter. Don't expect them to do any better then to remain .500 at best. The Sox organization did everything right to sabotage these past few season. I was never in favor of LaRussa's rehiring. That alone set the club at least 2 years back in performance. The DUI he received before being rehired was swept under the table. It wasn't until after his rehiring did that come to light over the local sports talk airwaves. What done me in with him was his ego trip, that he asked that "this won't affect my hall of fame statue will it?"....
Hiring Pedrol as his replacement, was again another band-aid.
Until this club rights the ship, as far as I'm concerned I will not be spending my hard earn money into attending any more "losing" this season after attending a 1-4 record of last.
I'm with the rest of the crowd this past week...

This wasn’t really an analysis of “why” the rebuild failed, but rather a recap

Nevertheless, still very depressing to live through.
