Habe es leider bei einem Kameraden 1993 als Sagabordung gemacht, es war mir eine Ehre, auch wenn es nicht eine Tolle Erinnerung war, bleibt diese mein Lebenlang erhalten.

This somber piece is the ‘Dead March’ from the oratorio’Saul’ by Handel. It has been played at many state funerals including Admiral Horacio Nelson in January of 1806. This rendition was beautifully performed.

The great hing about Handel is that when he wrote a funeral dirge like this one, there is always a sound of triumph in the background. I just wish there was more information about the occasion.
