91 premium why? So it’s best to put premium? When your towing?

I really like the new test. One request: I'd like to see more of the dash board (tach and speedo) while you are driving on the highway in real-time. Show more of the driving with no background music please. I want to get a feel for what it's like being in the cab.

Could you guys please do more videos of the Chevy but with the 5.3 liter engine instead? that's the engine 75% of people are going to buy, yet you guys have paid much more attention to the 6.2 instead. I would also like to see the 3.5 Ecoboost in the ford F.150. You guys have tested that engine in the past but not in the new 2015 model. I don't think you guys have ever even touched the 5.0 liter v8, like at all. The 2.7 ecoboost has pretty much outperformed all of the competition and it's not as powerful as fords other engines, that's why i'm so curious to see what the 3.5 and 5.0 engines can do in the new aluminum bodied truck! I'd appreciate it if you guys could get your hands on these other engines.

What was the gear ratio on that truck?

Does the eight speed transmission make a difference ? Can't tell by your results .

All this testing is great but I want to see real cost per mile(price of vehicle, cost of maintenance, cost of fuel, etc per mile). I think that coupled with towing capacity and comfort will aid those of us who are trying to figure out which vehicle will give us our monies worth.

what speed were you towing the trailer?  at 5:16 the speedometer says 75 but was that from the Part 1 video? I would also like to see this done with the 3.5 ecoboost and the same weight trailer.  great video.

Great testing guys. I really enjoy this new segment of the show with the big heavy duty trucks down to the little 3.0 EcoDiesel and Ford 2.7tt getting their fuel mileage sorted out in a controlled, yet real-world environment.

Great job guys! Can't wait to see the redo on the Ford's and the Dodge's. It's interesting to see the mileage on the higher powered engines now have stayed about the same. My 2001 Suburban gets about the same mileage as the truck, but with 135 less horsepower. Around 18 at 75 on the highway, and 7.5 towing our 6500 pound 26 foot travel trailer.

My Nissan Frontier V6 2wd towed a 5000lb trailer from Phoenix to Mohave valley, doing 60-65 and getting 13mpg

Hopefully you guys get a 3.5 Ecoboost to compare this too (with a 3.55 or 3.73 gear). I like the different approaches Ford & GM took to get better unloaded MPG but still allowing for the power to move big things. End of the day, hauling heavy stuff needs a lotta fuel.

When I tow near my '08 Sierra's capacity, I drive 60 MPH no matter what. I'm never in a hurry when I tow an 8400# 5th wheel toy hauler camper.
BTW I get 10 MPG average with mine in Tow Haul mode running a 5.3L Vortec and 4 speed transmission but tow in 3rd NOT O.D.
Now try doing your mileage comparisons at 60 MPH vs.75 MPH and see what that does for your numbers.
Also , in certain states, IF you tow a trailer you ARE supposed to drive at a slower speed anyway or get fined.

I'd be interested in knowing the mpg at 65 or 70 mph. Regardless of the speed limit allowing you to go 75, I think a slightly slower speed is much safer. It takes a LOT longer for an empty car or truck to stop from 75 than 65. Now, add several thousand lbs of trailer (even though it has brakes) and see what happens. Also, trailer sway and vehicle stability control might save your bacon, but that's no guarantee.

My bet is that it's get even better in the first video without trailer BC, the truck only has 737 miles on it. It hasn't even been through the breaking in process, BC after that, you'll get better gas mileage like I always have with all of my other vehicles. I lease so I've had a lot. So you have to factor this in as well.
