Unfortunately the police department has become a disaster like many other law enforcement agencies. Politics are in play. Carry or displaying a Confederate flag is not a crime. If that's what the so called chief was referring to.
Petaluma police department use to have some of the best trained officers in California. They were high quality morally sound honorable men and women.
Unfortunately many have left the department over the years for various reasons.
Hopefully in 2024 the clown show is over.
