This is pure perfection, they should have kept this forever, and ever.

I've always preferred this logo over the one they use now. The music is so serene. It first debuted in May of 1990 with BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III, and ran in theaters until May of 2007 when THE LOST WORLD JURASSIC PARK chaged it to the logo that's being used today.

I first saw this logo before Jetsons the movie. Great logo.

I really liked it when they did this intro....it's actually really cool. I like the intro for Universal now...cause of the fanfare. But, it's really cool when you see the intro throughout the years...it shows that Universal has grown and changed and gotten better with computer animation and graphics and also sound editing.

@pwgirl92 The fanfare, the visuals...a logo should imbue both the majestic AND the magical. (We're talking about movies, after all. What art form could be more magical than that?) The current one fails at the magical. Let's hope they get back to something more like the 75th anniversary logo for the upcoming 100th. They should take a cue from Paramount's awesome new logo. Have you seen that thing?! EPIC.

Oh Yeah, and also all three Back To The Future Movies, and Darkman (1, 2, and 3). And Jetsons The Movie, and My Least All-Time Favorite Movie Is,

1. Child's Play 2.

That is the only one on my least favorite movie list.
