Some of Our Favorite Travel Videos We Think Other Travelers Would Love

Our Travel Gear:
Microsoft Surface, Travel Laptop: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

Camera Sony Alpha Series: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

Western Dynamics 4 TB external hard drive. This let's you save your pictures and videos from your SD cards while you travel without having to use a computer.

Manfrotto Tripods: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Our Packs/Luggage: Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

Do take the ferry from Galveston to Point Bolivar and back. You might see the dolphins following the ferries. Also, it is free because it is part of the Texas highway system.

My wife and I live in Austin and have been traveling to Galveston for vacation on a yearly basis since 2013. It’s a great vacation destination and very affordable.

Moving back to Galveston/ Jamaica Beach from The Black Hills of South Dakota. Living vicariously through youtube vids until I get there.

"Galveston is a real city that just happens to have a beach" rather than "a beach town that is just a beach town". Really interesting way of looking at it and we completely agree with that logic 😅

lived here my whole life and i have another don’t: DONT litter! Tourists always come and trash the island and don’t pick up after themselves. locals can’t even enjoy anything that we have here most of the time because everything is packed because of the tourists. the least tourists could do is pick up after themselves and help keep our beaches clean.

Galveston is like an Island trapped in Time...the Victorian era!! I LOVE it!! In its heyday, it was "the Wall Street of the West"! That's why there's so much gorgeous architecture and beautiful Victorian homes!

As a local of Galveston I really appreciate the "don't feed the seagulls" comment!

Im BOI lived here my whole life, and ive also done my fair share of traveling, nothing like Galveston. Love to see people from all over, come and enjoy my hometown. It has its own charm and u know a native islander when u see or talk to one. Great video, God bless.

Another don't is don't forget to throw away your F*cking trash when you spend your day at the beach. It pisses us off when tourist/visitors leave our beaches full of garbage.

Do sit on the beach late at night and listen to Glen Campbell’s “Galveston.” Well, at least it worked for me.

The history of Galveston is pretty cool. Pirate Jean Lafitte had a home there and the ruins are still there. New Orleans and Galveston are sister cities. Galveston was likened to NYC of it's early days and the very first newspaper in Texas.

Galveston is such an underrated city. I live in New Orleans, and it kind of reminds me of New Orleans with a beach minus the culture. Shame the Hurricanes have destroyed most of their older buildings.

Galveston use to be the Elis Island of the south until September of 1900 (The Great Storm of 1900/ Isaac’s Storm) Category 4 Hurricane hit the Island killed about 6, 000-10, 000 people which is why Houston’s ship channel grew a lot also

The Rosenberg library in Galveston is a great visit too! At 2323 Sealy. The staff there is helpful and amazing.

My beach! I live in Houston and grew up going to Galveston and Crystal Beach. We still go and love it! Not blue water but, I would miss it if we ever moved!

I love this video! I'm B.O.I and just love this Island. The energy is so clean and refreshing. No matter where I roam Galveston will always be my home.

Lived in Galveston for five years. The whole island is a mystery gravitational hot spot. It has incredible energy and super special. Our daughter was born there and will forever hold the title "BOI" helping us to stake our claim on the island.

Lived there in my late 20"s from the end of 99 until 05. Pretty much the most fun i ever had. The Strand has something going on pretty much every weekend. A few of my favorite restaurants, were Branco Burrito, The Original Mexican Cafe, Rudy & Pacos, The Spot, and the Cajun Greek. But there is LOTS of fantastic food on the island, just ask a local what their favorite is and you will be set.

I was born in Galveston but my family settled in East Texas. I have always been drawn there and visit often all year long. It is so peaceful and believe it or not it’s quiet on the beach during off season. My wife and I have decided next time we purchase a home it’ll be in Galveston.
