I LOVE Mellie. one of the best characters on the show

They should acknowledge that all of that would be great if she was a male candidate. But as a female, how dare you be "smarter than us?" Dumb it down woman! Sadly that's very often true in the us, hopefully this season acknowledges that. You can rest to sure Liv wouldn't be advising a male candidate who knows everything about economy to "dumb it down". For example that guy in the sample saying "She's great until she opens her mouth" is the most typical derogatory comment made about women, not men.

I can't stand Mellie. She's the most spoilt, entitled character there is & she definitely does NOT deserve to be president. I can't think of a more undeserving character tbh. In fact, from what I've seen, she's never actually achieved anything on her own & throws a tantrum every time she doesn't get her way. It's not even realistic that anyone would support her as president; she's literally done nothing to prove she would be good at it.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't vote for her, the shit sounds too rehearsed as well so that makes it look like she's putting on a front for a certain demographic of voters, just like another real life candidate we know LOL. Scandal really are making the characters into real life caricatures aren't they?
