TREEBEARD WALKING STICK woodcarving

Happy end of 2021 with a new walking stick build, carving a "TreeBeard" wood spirit into a nice piece of Ash wood. The grain really made this woodcarving come alive... stick around until the end to see all the great colors and patterns pop when the Tung and Teak oil is applied. Hope you enjoy the process and let me know if you want to see more wood spirits or patterned walking sticks for the new year.

Beautiful work as always. I have just started making walking sticks and your videos are both inspiring and instructive. Thank you for making great content.

Great job, you should tape a furnace filter to a box fan and put it in front of you. It’ll, suck most of that dust into it.

It’s just beautiful. Very nice work but, at least to me, I just can’t picture myself carrying that big, heavy walking stick in my every other day 2-3 mile hiking exercise.

Nicely done!!! I like the epoxy idea, and the cut out for the grip area. Also, I really like the addition of some music to your video. I recently bout a Dremel flex tool for my carving work, can you give me some insight on quality cutting tools for it. I used one of them that came with the kit, and it wore out within minuets of trying to outline a face - in soft wood at that!

Very nice result.... Do you also use other finishes like Danish oil and polyurethane On other projects.? Thank you and best wishes

I really enjoyed this. Do you think the epoxy filled voids compromise the structural strength to any serious degree? I'm thinking drilling a couple small holes inside the void and inserting a piece of reinforcing wire lengthwise would counter that. May be over the top but then again ...

Ive been excited for yours next video.
It looks really awesome, I like the way the epoxy turned out, the depth is nice. I bet you could carve Groot from Gardian of the Galaxy.
You should put the description the type of carving tips you were using 😉 on your Dremel.
Happy New Year!!
