The biggest difference is where the CO2 is released into the atmosphere out of sight, so it doesn't count as CO2 released into the atmosphere

V2G EVs will make a massive change in mums and dads energy costs.
Vehicles are parked 23hrs every day and all night long.
Vehicles drive building to building.
EVs battery is a massive FREE ELECTRICITY STORAGE 247.

Rooftop PV is dirt cheap electricity.
Just add the free capacity of the massive EV battery.
Tax free savings from no ....
Petroleum
Gas heating
Grid electricity
Grid new construction
Grid capacity protection, no blackouts.
No new central generation construction

The health of our nation can improve through ALL measures that eliminate the use of inefficient uses of fossil fuels! Burning ANYTHING is bad…it contaminates the air, our land, and our waters. I’d say the savings would be 2-3 times the estimates you give here! Thanks Ben!

And it's not just respiratory health that is badly affected by particulate matter in polluted air - these particles penetrate to all areas of the body causing many illnesses including some cancers.

Not gonna worry about changing the way of life in this country while other countries around the world still pollute way more than we do. Not only do they generate more air pollution but more pollution into water ways and natural habitats.

The El;ectric Viking also makes a big deal of the less air pollution angle of EVs, especially since his wife has terminal cancer.

Electri drivetrains are used in virtually all stationary applications and now with good batteries, electric motors will dominate portable applications as well.

The amount of critics on this short is astonishing.

what about the effects of mining different minerals such as cobalt has on african countries. Electric Cars being cheap as an adverse effect is on those miners because they don’t get paid a living wage, you could go as far as equating it to slavery. The west is so big on climate change but what the working & living conditions on those miners. Its not just congo as well, there are many other countries that have to mine for pennies and in horrible working conditions in order for “1st world countries” like the US, to have this post production benefit of EV’s. I Put 1st world countries in quotes because of personal opinions. also i’m sorry for your loss Ben, losing a mother is extremely difficult.

I’m in love with driving my EV and it is better for the air and climate. Great, but I’m not fooling myself that I’m an environmentalist we should all be concerned about the planet we’re leaving to our children.

just had an expirience of “living” with vw id.6 for several months and no thank you i still think evs are a niche thing not a real car

if you account for higher price and higher depreciation (at least on my point on the globe:)) hell i may not even live for long enough for it to become net cheaper in terms of pong term tco stuff

and in addition to that i have to deal with all of the inconveniences ev gives

i will reconsider in 5 or 10 years maybe

Thanks for including the study. None of the ICE supporting opinions reference any evidence! Just empty words!

Dont let the car guys hear you say that electric cars are more fun lol. I think eventually 3:4 ratio is plausible. ICE vehicles will be reserved for performance oriented and Long distance, heavy load vehicles. I do not want to see an all electric future but im not opposed to avg car being an ev

EVs don’t actually lower pollution like you think. The car itself may not emit pollution, but where does the power come from when you charge it? Is your electricity coming from a renewable source? No, it’s coming from fossil fuels. The only way to feasibly lower pollution with our current technology is nuclear power.

Evs are neat but would be more suitable for major citys. After we fix the grid issue to be able to support evs. I dont think will have the grid ready for mostly evs ny 2050.

Hybrids make more sense to me as a consumer. As i can charge it on the go and removes the limitations of evs.

As far as electric transport when we can have electric powered roller blades that arent bulky and easily packable and have quick access ill be going that route.

But ill never own a straight ev.
Wouldnt mind a hybrid.
But i will forever own a vehicle that i can fix and maintain myself hopefully as low tech as possible.

In 2023, I toured China for a month. So many EVs. Streets were quiet, air felt clean. I also lived in Thessaloniki, Greece for 8 months where there are few EVs. The air was thick, soot in my nose, noise everywhere. Now I live in Bangkok and the same as Greece.

You don't need to be clever to see the importance of EVs.

The ICE age will soon end 🙏👍

I really wish Tesla YouTubers would focus more on the tangible health benefits of EV’s, so 👍🏽🤘🏼

Is the only gas car you've ever driven a Yugo?
Typical green ideology, fairy tale rhetoric.
