I’m a PhD and my wife too, we do everything based on our scientific knowledge without even noticing, I can tell we had the strongest influence as kids from this guy, we still sit and watch Carl Sagan and learn all this great man offered to humanity. Of course he was son of immigrants.

His comment on sceptical inquiry really makes the mark. Marilyn Vos Savant also warned about teaching theories as facts. If objectivity is lost, then the verisimilitude of a popular theory may become a detriment to science.
