I think T1 wants not only to win the Spring Season but to WIN IT ALL includes that they want to play against DK and GEN in Playoffs (which probably will happen)

T1 can also do what OG did in the International years ago, by just flipping a coin. Their reasoning? If you pick the stronger team, people say you're cocky; If you pick the weaker team, people will say you're scared. Just flip a coin, you're gonna destroy anyone regardless. They then proceeded to destroy everyone and won the whole damn thing. Haha.

If T1 dodge DK in R2 it means its strategical to give DK to GenG, but if they dont dodge it and choose DK u know its grudge time between this two

Not only that, It's dangerous for DK to gain momentum in the play offs too. We're still talking about Canyon and SM in here. So, yeah it's better to eliminate them early.

T1 wants all the smoke. Joe Marsh's recent interview by Ashley shows how frustrated he was when they faced Gen.G with a substitute roster(it's only Ruler, but still) because it gave people a reason not to be convinced with their win. He said the players also felt the same. Joe is hungry to solidify his team to be called the best of the best. With that kind of man at the top and players that were vocal throughout this split saying their LCK rival is Damwon and wants revenge against them, we can be sure they'll pick DK.

Until this split, Damwon had been terrorizing T1 since summer 2020, so they probably want some revenge.

I mean I can see that happening from that point of view for personal reasons. But that wouldn't be so clever right? If they can see Gen G and DK going head to head and have a better understanding about their strength and weakness without having to face them, that's the best plan. But yeah momentum is so important, so idk.

its reasonable to set aside the emotion and just choose KDF/DRX, Why take a chance to risk it when you all got the opportunity to choose the more easy way, just let GenG and DWK face it off and then T1 fight the winner on finals, this way they can plan whichever pocket picks or strategy DWG/GenG shows on their semis round.

This is not really a ballsy move it's a smart one, t1 know that they're way better than dk rn.

It's better for T1 to not choose them because they can have a free match in semi and then focus a lot, without showing all the strats in semi, it would be dumb from T1 to show everything to GEN G versus DK in semis.
If it's Gen G versus DK then T1 can analyze a lot .

But even tho T1 choose DK, even if T1 win versus DK and GEN G, haters will Still hate T1 and maybe call it 'Lucky'

I agree man. I think T1 will choose DWG. They want to make them feel how they felt last year.

I mean, I can agree with LS being one who has observed T1 from the inside.

If you get to choose whether you pick among teams whom you haven't prepared the most versus the one you have prepared better, I'd pick the latter simply because I am confident enough to beat them, and it just so happens that the target is one of the best in the current lineups, which means the rest can follow after the match has been settled.

It does sound cocky, but it is the more sound choice if you are in T1's shoes. But then again, I wouldn't blame them if they happen to choose the former, because that would be the easy way out: to simply give themselves more time and observation on how other teams are gonna play out until the finals.

considering that DK beat T1 on major situations before like Summer 2021 Finals and Worlds 2021 Semis, they might go with the other one and hope DK go to finals and crush them in the bigger stage (bigger than spring semis). watching Ashley's interviews with T1 players, they told that they want to crush DK in a bigger stage. we'll see.

Remember in 2021, when DK was clearly stronger than T1, they never chose T1 in the semifinals because they seemed to wanna face and beat T1 in the finals. There would be no surprise to me if T1 do the same thing.

I mean I'm almost certain that T1 will pick DK unless some higher-ups decides that they want the presumed "easy win". Reasons like revenge might be a part of it or like what others said about stopping DK's momentum but imo it's far more simpler than that. Joe marsh and T1's mentality (assuming they're being honest) is to be the better version of themselves as well as being the best out of everyone and what better way to challenge themselves other than to challenge DK and GenG in their "best" form.

Choosing DK who isn't tired/drained from fighting GenG and then fighting GenG who is presumed to be left with the "easy" opponent is obviously the far more "challenging route" for T1
