In the far future of humanity, Duke Leto Atreides accepts the stewardship of the dangerous desert planet Arrakis, also known as Dune, the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, "melange" (also called "spice"), a drug that extends human life, provides superhuman levels of thought, and makes faster-than-light travel practical. Though Leto knows the opportunity is an intricate trap set by his enemies, he takes his Bene Gesserit concubine Lady Jessica, young son and heir Paul, and most trusted advisors to Arrakis. Leto takes control of the spice mining operation, which is made perilous by the presence of giant sandworms. A bitter betrayal leads Paul and Jessica to the Fremen, natives of Arrakis who live in the deep desert.

I haven't watched the film, but thanks to some still cuts with the scores which the maestro created, I can imagine the mood and story. The scores visualized the film even without acting. What a masterpiece !

Confirms that this soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. Zimmer needs not prove himself, really, but this helps solidify his standing alongside John Williams in the movie soundtrack pantheon. So good with the movie and on its own!

I like how non sci-fi fans (and even sci-fi fans) criticize the movie because it was boring. For sure, It wasn't :D. It was great. Sci-fi isn't really about non logical random explosions. Not all sci-fi is like Star Wars with lasers everywhere. Like fr guys, go watch some fast and furious(nothing against it I like first 4 movies) if you want to see some action.

This film was truly incredible. Some called it boring but it was because they don't genuinely appreciate the hard work that went into it. It was a cinematic masterpiece. The details and story is great.
I've been writing a novel for almost 2 years now and I also went to school for acting. So I think I notice and appreciate things a little deeper than most of the people that believe it was boring. I saw so much more than they did just because of my creative background vs theirs.
