She is on target. The Austrian-Hungarian Empire fell in the memory hole of history. I read some Roth and Kafka in college and got a small taste but that was all. Her book is very good but I do not know if Wittgenstein belongs with Roth, Celan, Kraus and the others. His philosophy seems a world away.
